Taekwondo Academy of India

The Taekwondo Academy of India (TAI) was formed in 1992 and established as a National Academy of Taekwondo in India. Grandmaster Jimmy R. Jagtiani is the founder Chairman/Managing Director of the Academy (TAI). The Taekwondo Federation of India in its General Body Meeting accorded recognition to the Taekwondo Academy of India in 1992.

The Taekwondo Academy of India (TAI) assigned to look after the technical matter such as promotion of Taekwondo philosophy, development of Techniques, Dan Promotion Test, Degree, produced National Instructor as per the curriculum of the Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarter, Korea & World Taekwondo Federation (WTF).

Objectives & Operations:
The objects of Taekwondo Academy of India “TAI” is to undertake projects and programmes serving as an ideal area being recognized by the Taekwondo Federation of India “TFI” for:-
(i)                 Training of Taekwondo.
(ii)               Conduct National Seminar / Courses for Referee & Instructor.
(iii)             Conduct Refresher Courses for Black Belt / Referee / Instructor.
(iv)             Conduct Coaching Camps.
(v)               Conduct Muye National Taekwondo Championship.
(vi)             Promotion test for Colour Belt and Black Belt.
(vii)           Promotion of Taekwondo for National Referee and Instructor.
(viii)         Issue of Colour Belt Certificate.
(ix)             Obtain Black belt Certificate to its successful candidates.
(x)               To undertake control, supervise and manage such alike Organisation / 
            Institution / Clubs / Academy etc.  
(xi)             To take disciplinary action against any Organisation / Institution / 
            Club as Technical Persons where any misconduct / misbehaviour or any 
            other undesirable activity bring discredit to the Country, Academy and 
            the Sports in general.
(xii)          The “TAI” shall have its operations in all Schools / Clubs / Academy in 
            States / Union Territories and other Organisations of India.
(xiii)        The “TAI” recognized by the Taekwondo Federation of India “TFI”, 
            shall promote Taekwondo and its activities as laid down in Article 
            1.3 (i) of the TFI’s Constitution.

The “Logo” of the Taekwondo Academy of India (TAI),  resembles the shape of India Map, the outer circle Taekwondo Academy of India cover four corners of the States of India. The-top is the Jammu & Kashmir, the-bottom Tamil Nadu, the-left Gujarat and the right Arunachal Pradesh. Two fighters, the Red & Blue chest guard performed Taekwondo techniques under the Map of India. Meaning-wise, the Taekwondo Academy of India (TAI) assigned  to look after the technicals matter such as “Promotion of Taekwondo Philosophy”, development of “Taekwondo Techniques”, “Dan Promotion Test”, produce “National Instructor” and produce “Olympic Taekwondo Players” as per the curriculum of the Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarter, Korea. & World Taekwondo Federation (WTF).
The Logo was designed and registered by “Grandmaster Jimmy R. Jagtiani”, Father of Taekwondo in India.
